Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary announces an immediate need for the following positions:
Director of the English Program
The duties of this position include:
- Administrating and teaching in the English program
- Preparing and administering the English Exam so students can enroll in the graduate programs
- Scheduling of courses and arranging teachers for those courses
- Developing the Graduate Certificate in Language Teaching Ministry
- Coordinating the Accelerated English Program
- Recruitment of students, including occasional travel
- Other duties of seminary faculty
Preferred candidates will have the following qualifications:
- A demonstrated passion for serving God and the church
- Education: holder of a master’s degree in TESOL and holder of the TESOL Certificate or equivalent
- Teaching experience: a minimum of three (3) years teaching experience with ESL students, with international experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Model of spiritual leadership
- A calling to serve in theological education
- Proficiency in the use of new technologies, particularly those related to online teaching
- Administrative skills
Educational Technology Coordinator
The duties of this position include:
- Oversee the technical implementation and operation of the seminary’s online and hybrid (on-line and face-to-face) classes and programs
- Set up and maintain classrooms for hybrid classes
- Train faculty and students to use synchronous and asynchronous hybrid technologies
- Oversee, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot hybrid/conferencing systems in coordination with the IT department
- Coordinate with seminary program directors the expansion of course offerings with online platforms
Preferred candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge in both education and educational technology, including conferencing and streaming technologies
- Ability to set up and maintain the seminary’s online platforms and hybrid classrooms
- A Master’s degree
