APNTS was privileged to have newly elected General Superintendent, Dr. Filimao Chambo recently spend time on campus. A highlight was Dr. Chambo bringing a message to faculty, students, administration and guests, at the first Chapel service of the new semester.

Dr. Chambo was elected to the office of General Superintendent in June, 2017, at the 29th General Assembly of the Church of the Nazarene. Prior to his election, Dr. Chambo had been serving as director of the Africa Region since 2009.

Dr. Chambo is a strong supporter of higher education, having received his Ph.D. in Literature and Philosophy in Biblical Studies at the University of Johannesburg, serving as an educator in South Africa, a seminary president in Mozambique, and Education Coordinator for the Africa Region.

As Dr. Chambo continues in his travels across the Asia Pacific Region, our prayers go with him as he serves God and the Church in this very challenging and meaningful assignment.
